Transcending the lines of Convention

We’ve been taught a lot of things from the moment we were born. We’ve been taught to weave all the letters into something that would make enough sense so that when these letters made sounds, we’d know and recognise it for what it is. We’ve been taught how there are unending varieties of expressions, each distinct in its own kind, yet possessing the ability to be comprehended by every mind, the basic meaning behind each of these, also transcending the borders of language and geography. We’ve been taught to perceive everything for what it truly is. Whatever makes the light bounce off its seams, we take to be more real than everything that doesn’t. Whatever makes a sound automatically makes its place among the things that are categorised as concrete. Whatever we can sense with the basic five senses that’ve been built into our systems, or in other words, our bodies, are what we term as the existing truths. ⁣

But what if I tell you there are truths that are far more real than these? What if I tell you that these things we perceive as realities, the ones we see, the ones we hear are not a part of the actual reality at all? What if I tell you that everything we sense with these senses is only an illusion? What if I tell you, we have eyes but are blind; we have ears but we cannot hear; we have the blazing sun to light up our world, yet we reside in the dark? What if I tell you, the realest reality is just a few layers deep, or a little more, behind the perfect facades of the sensory real?⁣

I repeat. It is just a little way beyond these easily perceived realities or to say the ones we’ve created for ourselves. And what exactly is this reality? It is an entire universe, not parallel, but embedded into the very same one we live in. This universe is a plethora of the unseen and the unheard - the souls hiding inside bodies, the scars hiding behind a few woven threads, the voices hushed inside a throat that’s wanting to scream, the agony that hides itself with the glorious masquerade of a smile, the love that’s caged behind bars of norms and morality. All these and yet many more in a world that’s waiting to be seen. ⁣

If it's in the same world we live in, then why don’t we see it, you ask? We don’t see it for a simple reason of not wanting to see it. Or even if we subconsciously do, we don’t try enough to delve into the truths that are lying open behind a veil, waiting to be found. Make yourself aware of this world, and I assure you, life will make a lot more sense. By life, I don’t mean the mechanised cycle we’ve created for ourselves but the mere practice of just being as humane as one can be. The quality of a human is to be humane - which I fear is long forgotten. I again urge you, make yourself familiar and acquainted with this world, and it will be a better place not only for you, but the ones around you too. ⁣

Conventions are made to open your mind to various other possibilities, not to dictate and cage. Allow yourself to go beyond these conventions and wander. Wander around till you realise things have deeper meanings, till you realise that listening is not just hearing the rhythms of sound striking your eardrums and taking them in as mere pieces of information, it is hearing and understanding the ones that are left unsaid; till you realise that words are not just letters in an order with a set meaning, they can be holding a lot more meaning clutched in closed fists, waiting to be discovered if looked between the lines. ⁣

And to all this world of unseen truths that’s waiting to be discovered, there are souls that will find you someday soon.⁣
